WHO IS IT?
Jennifer Aniston
Really, in what respect I mean, obviously, it supposed to be a woman but other than that the resemblance eludes me…
I’d say the same about all Celebrity Series’ characters.
: ).. I couldn’t agree more, actually. The likenesses are abysmal. I mean, surely, there’s a trades description act somewhere whoever sells these things must be contravening…
Hopefully someday we’ll have that level of likeness:
Well – it takes a copy of Zbrush (which you can get here) but you can do this. Best approach is to load up a G8 figure with a morph set already in that kind of ball park as far as far as that face goes. Before using GoZ go to Parameters in Daz Studio and drop the resolution on the figure to base and then hit GoZ. In Zbrush use either the Move Elastic or Move Topological Brush (Move Topological is best) to start pushing gently pushing those features around until you’ve got the general shape and proportion of Brian Cranstons head – hit GoZ and you should be faced with a pop up window asking you if you want to save as a Morph. Tell it yes and that’s you’re base figure.
Where these celebrity series things are dropping the ball is they’re not pushing the process further. To get that level of detail on a mesh you need to sculpt in very high detail on a high resolution version and then export that high level of sculpting detail out as a normal map which – if done correctly – will map exactly onto your base mesh back in Daz Studio.
Providing you did the first step right – the rest is relatively easy.
Takes time, yes and some practice – assuredly – but there are plenty of tutorials out there. If only the vendors of this kind of garbage had the ability to follow one of them, they’d have product worth purchasing.
But work of that caliber is perfectly possible using Daz Studio and Zbrush combined. The knowing how to is out there, go, find some – create – have fun learning. T : )
Awesome! Thank you 3DLOAD!
